B. T. Engineering Sdn. Bhd. was incorporated as a Private Limited Company on 18 August 1988 with a paid-up capital of RM 800,000 and annual turnover of less than RM 5 million. The founder Madam Madalene Chow Yoke Yee, who is currently the Managing Director turned the then known small scale engineering works company into a high-end Automatic Folding Gate manufacturer. The design and engineering technology behind the development of the Automatic Folding Gate was granted a “Certificate of Grant of a Patent” on 31 October 2002 with Malaysian Patent No. MY-114345-A. Being ambitious B.T. Engineering went on to register its Automatic Folding Gate under its own brand name “Legate”, which was granted a trademark on 29 August 2003. B.T Engineering’s sales grew from a modest RM 5million to RM 7 million within the first year of its official launch of the Automatic folding gate, featuring 100 various designs. Utilising the state-of- the-art laser cutting system, B.T. Engineering made a further breakthrough in innovative design with the introduction of anti-ultra violet protection, scratch-proof and an opening cycle-time of 9 seconds in comparison to its competitors ranging from17 to 19 seconds. Since then nothing could hold B.T. Engineering back from pursuing the prestigious “ISO 9001:2000” certification which was accredited by Moody International Certification (
Malaysia ) Sdn. Bhd. on the 21st of June 2004. Currently B.T. Engineering has appointed dealers in Perak, Kedah, Pahang, Johor, Malacca, Negeri Sembilan and,
Kuala Lumpur .
B.T. Engineering modest started in manufacturing soon began to undertake bigger engineering projects which lead to the manufacturing of:-
